About Michelle Ozumba
Michele joined Women's Funding Network in May 2011 after serving for 10 years as President and CEO of the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (G-CAPP). She joined G-CAPP in 1999 as its first Policy Director. From 1995-1999, Michele served as the Director of the Office of Adolescent Health at the Georgia Division of Public Health.

Michele’s background includes 12 years as a lecturer in Urban Planning at the University of Nigeria from 1982-1994. She was a co-investigator in the first national study on child abuse in Nigeria, which led to the creation of regional reporting centers funded by the Ford Foundation.

She has served on the board of directors of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation, the national Healthy Teen Network, and the National Advisory Council on Sexual Health, chaired by Dr. David Satcher, former U.S. Surgeon General.
